The Certified Junior Bookkeeper program has been designed to encompass a thorough array of essential skills in Accounting, making it applicable to various accounting roles across diverse organizations.
You must be 16 years and above.
Grade 10 (Standard 8) or equivalent
No prior accounting knowledge is required.

Module 1: Business Literacy
Crafted to provide you with fundamental numerical and communication abilities essential for efficient functioning in the business environment.
Module 2: Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
Introducing source documents, double-entry principles, subsidiary journals, the general ledger, and the accounting processes for various inventory systems, as well as reconciling bank and creditors statements.
Module 3: Payroll and Monthly SARS Returns
Introduction to payroll and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, along with fundamental principles of business ethics. Participants will gain the ability to execute the payroll function from a bookkeeping standpoint. Additionally, they will acquire skills in completing SARS payroll returns (including EMP201, IRP5, IT3a, IRP501) and learn how to fulfil the VAT201 return.
Module 4: Computerised Bookkeeping
It is crucial for the bookkeeper to possess the capability to execute the monthly bookkeeping tasks using a computer. In this section, you will acquire the skills needed for bookkeeping through the utilization of Microsoft Office and a computerized accounting software, such as Pastel.
