Course Introduction

Most GRC programmes teach the mechanics of governance, risk, and compliance in isolation. This one starts somewhere different: with the assumption that you already know what GRC is, and are ready to make it work harder for your organisation’s actual strategic value. Over three intensive days, you’ll connect governance structures directly to the value drivers that matter to your board and stakeholders — including how global sustainability standards like the UN SDGs, and emerging AI governance principles, now sit alongside the frameworks you already know.

You’ll work alongside practitioners with genuine board and executive-level experience, moving through real value-mapping exercises, stakeholder engagement planning, and governance operating model design — not abstract theory, but the tools you’ll use the week you get back to your desk.

Course Objectives

By attending Advanced Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC), you will:
  • Integrate GRC with strategy: master the principles and practicalities of connecting GRC structures to core organisational value drivers and strategic risks
  • Adopt stakeholder-inclusive approaches: map, engage, and communicate with key stakeholders, aligning GRC processes to their needs
  • Build effective governance operating models that reinforce organisational performance and accountability
  • Link GRC to global standards, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and AI governance principles as an emerging global standard
  • Drive sustainable value creation through strategic risk and compliance management
