Course Introduction

This intensive bootcamp reviews the core syllabus areas shared by the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) Part 1 and CFA Level I frameworks — financial reporting and statement analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and performance and decision-making analysis — combining structured content review with exam-style practice.

Both frameworks have evolved: the CMA syllabus has expanded its emphasis on technology, data analytics, and risk and ESG considerations, while the CFA Level I curriculum remains stable but now requires candidates to separately complete the CFA Institute’s mandatory Practical Skills Module. Like Prospen’s SHRM-CP prep bootcamp, this is independent exam-preparation training — it complements official study materials rather than replacing them, and candidates apply and pay for the certifying body’s exam separately.

Course Objectives

By the end of this Finance Certification Prep Bootcamp course, you'll be able to:
  • Navigate the core syllabus areas shared across CMA Part 1 and CFA Level I: financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
  • Apply financial statement analysis and ratio interpretation at exam standard
  • Apply budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis techniques tested in both frameworks
  • Apply Cost-Volume-Profit analysis and capital budgeting techniques to exam-style problems
  • Identify personal knowledge gaps through diagnostic and full-length practice testing
  • Build a realistic study and exam-scheduling plan aligned to the chosen certifying body's testing windows
  • Understand where CMA Part 1 and CFA Level I content diverges, so further study time is allocated correctly
  • Apply time-management and exam-technique strategies suited to each exam's specific format

Course Benefits

  • Accountants and Finance Professionals Preparing for CMA Part 1
  • Finance Professionals Preparing for CFA Level I
  • Graduates of Prospen's Financial Analysis, Modelling and Forecasting or Budgeting Courses Seeking Formal Certification
  • Finance Professionals Recertifying or Refreshing Core Technical Knowledge

Who should attend?

  • Two Exams, One Efficient Bootcamp: Cover the syllabus ground shared by CMA Part 1 and CFA Level I in a single, focused week.
  • Exam-Standard Practice, Not Just Review: Work through practice questions modelled on current CMA and CFA formats, not generic revision.
  • Know Exactly Where You Stand: Diagnostic and full-length practice testing show you precisely which gaps to close before exam day.
  • A Study Plan You'll Actually Follow: Leave with a realistic, gap-closing study plan aligned to your chosen exam's testing windows.
  • Complements, Doesn't Replace: Structured to work alongside official IMA and CFA Institute materials, not substitute for them.
