Course Introduction

The aim of Prospen Africa’s Results-Driven Monitoring, Evaluation, and Implementation Training is to apply monitoring and evaluation approaches and tools to assess an organisation’s or programme’s performance in a specific context. This course equips participants with knowledge and skills in monitoring and evaluation to accurately assess the performance of public sector organisations or programmes.

2-Day Essentials Core Foundations

M&E foundations and framework design, AI-enhanced data collection, and AI-enhanced data analysis and reporting essentials.

Ideal for: Professionals who need practical, current M&E capability without an extended time commitment.

Both formats are delivered face-to-face, virtually, or in-house, and share the same practical, hands-on instructional approach.

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Contextualise different approaches to and theories of monitoring and evaluation in a particular organisation
  • Demonstrate understanding of appropriate research design and methodology for monitoring and evaluating an organisation or programme in a specific context
  • Design a monitoring and evaluation plan for a specific context
  • Collect appropriate data aligned to specific indicators in a monitoring and evaluation plan, including how AI-assisted tools are increasingly used for real-time data collection and validation
  • Analyse and interpret collated data, including how AI now supports automated outlier detection and predictive analytics in M&E
  • Present the findings and recommendations of a monitoring and evaluation project or plan
