Course Introduction

Unmanaged conflict is one of the most common, and most preventable, drains on team productivity. This QCTO-accredited Conflict Management skills programme gives managers, supervisors and team leaders a structured, practical way to identify conflict early, understand what’s really driving it, and resolve it using proven workplace techniques — before it costs the team focus, trust or results.

In addition to successfully completing the Programmes listed above, a Final Integrated Summative Assessment (FISA) is required for the Qualification. All learners gain entrance to the Final Integrated Supervised Assessment by successfully completing all formal summative assessments conducted by the SDP.

  • The specific techniques used to work through a conflict once its source and type are understood — balancing a resolved outcome with the emotional well-being of everyone involved.
Topic 5 — Conflict Consequences Analysis
  • A structured process for identifying and analysing conflict patterns and trends, and assessing their social, economic and operational impact.
Topic 6 — Using Emotional Intelligence to Resolve Conflict
  • Recognising your own and others' emotional cues to navigate conflict with awareness rather than reactivity.
Topic 7 — Elements of a Conflict Resolution Report
  • What a resolution report should contain — analysis of the conflict, its causes, and the proposed solution — to give a complete picture for follow-up.
