The Learning Support Facilitator Skills Programme equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills to support learners who are experiencing challenges that affect their ability to succeed in formal education settings. The facilitator plays a key role in identifying learning barriers, applying appropriate support strategies, and assessing learner progress to help prevent dropout and academic failure.
This Learning Support Facilitator programme prepares learners to work alongside teachers, lecturers and training practitioners by providing personalised support to learners in need, across schools, TVET colleges, community education and training colleges, comprehensive colleges, universities, and Early Childhood Development settings.
5-day classroom/contact session, forming part of a longer overall programme timeline that includes Portfolio of Evidence completion — reported elsewhere as up to 3 months post-classroom, or as a 30-day total programme duration depending on how workplace practice time is counted. The 5-day classroom figure is the one to lead with; the total programme length is worth clarifying separately so learners understand the full time commitment.

Learners who successfully complete the programme will be eligible to write the FISA examination. Upon passing, they will be awarded a Certificate of Competence and a Statement of Results, both aligned with QCTO standards.
