Course Introduction

Projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality only when the money is planned, tracked, and accounted for properly. Yet many project managers are strong on delivery and weak on finance, while many finance professionals understand accounting but not how projects work. This course closes that gap.

Over five days, participants learn how to build and approve a project budget, control it with variance analysis and earned value management, and account for it correctly. The course covers cost estimation, cash flow, project and contract accounting, revenue recognition and billing, financial analysis and investment appraisal, and the management of financial risk. Practical workshops and case studies give participants hands-on experience of building, implementing, and controlling budgets, so that they can manage project finances with confidence.
